Ingredients
  

Fruits
  • 10 hawthorn berries or other fruits like strawberries or grapes
Sugar Syrup
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tbsp corn syrup optional for smoother texture

Method
 

Prepare the Fruits
  1. Wash and dry the fruits thoroughly. If using strawberries or grapes, remove the stems. Skewer the fruits onto the skewers.
Make the Sugar Syrup
  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar, water, and corn syrup. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook until it reaches 300°F (hard crack stage) on a candy thermometer.
Coat the Fruits
  1. Remove the saucepan from heat. Quickly dip each skewer of fruit into the hot sugar syrup, ensuring the fruit is fully coated.
  2. Place the coated skewers on parchment paper to cool and harden.
