- In a bowl, combine warm water, granulated sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit until frothy.
- Add melted and cooled salted butter, whole milk, lightly beaten egg, and sea salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
- Gradually add all-purpose flour until dough forms. Knead until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Punch down the dough and shape into rolls. Place in a greased baking pan.
- Cover and let rise again until doubled in size (about 30 minutes).
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Bake for 20-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush with melted salted butter and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
