Prepare the Swiss chard
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Blanch the Swiss chard leaves for 2 minutes, then transfer to a colander and rinse under cold water. Pat dry and set aside.
Make the filling
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, beaten egg, cooked spinach, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
Stuff the leaves
- Lay a Swiss chard leaf flat and place about 2 tablespoons of the filling at the base of the leaf. Roll the leaf tightly, folding in the sides as you go. Repeat with remaining leaves and filling.
Bake the stuffed chard
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Place the stuffed Swiss chard rolls seam-side down in the dish and cover with the remaining marinara sauce. Bake for 25-30 minutes until heated through.
Serve
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your Ricotta Stuffed Swiss Chard warm.
