  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon matcha green tea powder plus more for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Method
 

Prepare the Mixture
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, matcha powder, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined and the sugar is dissolved.
Chill the Mixture
  1. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until thoroughly chilled.
Churn the Ice Cream
  1. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
Freeze the Ice Cream
  1. Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up before serving.
