Ingredients
  

Sauce Ingredients
  • 1 cup soy sauce low sodium recommended
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch for thickening
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger freshly grated

Method
 

Prepare the Sauce
  1. In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, water, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  3. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with a little water to create a slurry.
  4. Once the sauce is simmering, add the cornstarch slurry and stir continuously until the sauce thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in sesame oil.
