Preparation and Cooking
- Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk and egg.
- Dip onion slices into the flour mixture, then the milk mixture, and finally coat with dry bread crumbs.
- Fry the coated onion rings in the hot oil until golden brown, about 3 minutes.
- Remove and drain on paper towels. Season with seasoned salt if desired.
