Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
Topping
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar

Prepare the Batter
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.

  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined.
Bake the Cake
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and cinnamon for the topping. Sprinkle it evenly over the batter.
