Ingredients
  

Chili
  • 1 lb Ground beef Can substitute with turkey or plant-based meat
  • 1 can Kidney beans Drained and rinsed
  • 1 can Diced tomatoes With juices
  • 1 cup Onion Chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 2 tbsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese Shredded, for topping
  • 1 cup Green onions Chopped, for garnish
Hot Dogs
  • 4 pieces Hot dog sausages Beef, turkey, or plant-based
  • 4 pieces Hot dog buns Soft and fresh

Method
 

Prepare the Chili
  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot, cooking until softened.
  3. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper, cooking for an additional minute.
  4. Add kidney beans and diced tomatoes, bring to a simmer, and cook for 20 minutes.
Cook the Hot Dogs
  1. While the chili simmers, grill or cook the hot dogs on a skillet until heated through and slightly charred.
  2. Warm the hot dog buns on the grill or in the oven.
Assemble the Chili Dogs
  1. Place each hot dog in a bun, top generously with chili, and sprinkle with cheddar cheese and green onions.
  2. Serve immediately with your favorite condiments.
