Blueberry Sauce
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch optional for thickening
  • 1 tablespoon water for cornstarch slurry

Method
 

Prepare the Blueberry Sauce
  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the fresh blueberries, sugar, and lemon juice.
  2. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the blueberries start to release their juices and the mixture begins to bubble.
  3. If using cornstarch, mix it with water in a small bowl to create a slurry, then add it to the saucepan.
  4. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving over cheesecake.
