  • 4 pieces croissants preferably day-old
  • 1 cup mixed berries such as strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk whole or 2%
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the croissants into halves and place them in a greased baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the mixed berries over the croissant halves.
Custard Mixture
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
  2. Pour the custard mixture evenly over the croissants and berries, ensuring they are well soaked.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the custard is set and the top is golden brown.
  2. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
