Beef Bulgogi Bowl

Ingredients
  

Beef Marinade
  • 1 pound beef sirloin thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce low sodium preferred
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 inch ginger grated
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang Korean chili paste
  • 1 tablespoon green onions chopped
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
Bowl Assembly
  • 2 cups cooked rice white or brown
  • 1 cup carrots julienned
  • 1 cup bell pepper sliced
  • 1 cup spinach lightly sautéed
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds for garnish

Method
 

Marinate the Beef
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, gochujang, green onions, and black pepper. Add the sliced beef and mix well. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Cook the Beef
  1. Preheat the grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated beef for about 5-7 minutes, or until fully cooked, stirring occasionally.
Assemble the Bowl
  1. In a bowl, place a serving of cooked rice. Top with the cooked beef, carrots, bell pepper, and sautéed spinach. Garnish with sesame seeds.
