Ingredients
  

Taco Filling
  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 lean to fat ratio recommended
  • 1 packet taco seasoning or homemade seasoning
  • 1 cup water for seasoning
Taco Assembly
  • 8 count taco shells hard or soft, as preferred
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or Mexican blend
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce for topping
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes for topping
  • 1/2 cup sour cream for serving

Method
 

Prepare the Beef Filling
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  2. Drain excess fat, then add taco seasoning and water. Stir to combine and simmer for 5 minutes.
Assemble Tacos
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place taco shells in a baking dish and fill each shell with the beef mixture.
  3. Top each filled taco with shredded cheese.
Bake Tacos
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  2. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Serve
  1. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and a dollop of sour cream before serving.
