Ingredients
  

Cake Base
  • 1 box vanilla cake mix plus ingredients required on the box
  • 1 cup frosting store-bought or homemade
Coating
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips for coating
  • 1 cup red candy melts for decoration
  • 1 cup blue candy melts for decoration
  • sprinkles to taste red, white, and blue sprinkles for garnish

Method
 

Prepare Cake
  1. Bake the vanilla cake according to package instructions and let it cool completely.
Make Cake Balls
  1. Crumble the cooled cake into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add the frosting to the crumbled cake and mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Freeze the cake balls for about 15 minutes to firm up.
Coat Cake Balls
  1. Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  2. Dip each cake ball into the melted white chocolate, allowing excess to drip off, then place back on the baking sheet.
  3. Melt the red and blue candy melts separately and drizzle over the coated cake balls for decoration.
  4. Sprinkle with red, white, and blue sprinkles before the coating sets.
Serve
  1. Let the cake balls set completely before serving. Enjoy your festive treat!
